Tuna’s Better than One: Tuna Pineapple Macaroni Salad

Enough about the argument on whether pineapple belongs on pizza or not. After all, this tropical fruit can also be added to the party-staple macaroni salad. Once you take a spoonful of this, you will taste the well-balanced flavors of the tangy pineapple, subtly sweet dressing, and savory tuna.


Tuna Pineapple Macaroni Salad


Makes 5-6 servings


2 (180g) Tuna flakes in oil, drained

1 small can Pineapple tidbits, drained

1 Medium onion, finely chopped

1 Small carrot, finely diced

¼ cup Dried raisins

2 tsps Pickle relish

2 cups Mayonnaise

1 tsp Yellow mustard

1 tsp White vinegar

3 cups Cooked elbow macaroni

  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Combine and mix the ingredients in the order listed. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Chill overnight. Best made 1-2 days before serving to let the flavors meld together better.
