Try subbing meat with healthy, heart-friendly tuna!

Simple Tuna Aglio Olio Pasta

Makes 4-5 servings

Extra virgin olive oil

8-10 pcs Whole cloves garlic, peeled

4 cloves Garlic, minced

1 Red onion, chopped

2 cans Tuna chunks in brine, drained (180g)

2 Tbsps Capers

1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese

½ tsp Italian seasoning

¼ tsp Dried chili flakes

Salt and pepper,to taste

250g Spaghetti noodles, cooked according to package instructions

  1. In a large pot, pour in the oil to about ¼ inch depth and heat over medium high heat. Once hot, cook the whole garlic cloves until lightly browned on both sides.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook until light brown. Add the onion and cook until softened. Add the tuna, capers, and cheese and season to taste until heated through.
  3. Place the cooked noodles in the pot and stir to combine. Serve hot with more Parmesan cheese, fresh salad, and garlic bread.
