There’s more to popping that popcorn in the microwave! Combine flavors to make a lovely spice blend or even some melted chocolate to level up your usual movie munchies.

POPCORN TRIO

Recipes by Yllaine Sabenecio

Makes 8 cups each

Matcha Popcorn Clusters

½ cup White chocolate chips, plus more for garnish

1 tsp Matcha powder, plus more for garnish

1 pack Cooked unflavored microwave popcorn

Pinch of salt

  1. Prepare a double boiler by using a stainless or glass bowl sitting snugly over a pot of water making sure that the water does not touch the bowl. Turn on heat. When the water is already boiling, put the white chocolate chips in the bowl and allow to melt, stirring with a rubber spatula. When completely melted, remove from heat, add matcha powder, and stir until well combined.
  2. Drizzle the mixture over the cooked popcorn and toss until everything is evenly coated. Season with salt.
  3. Refrigerate the popcorn for about 8-10 minutes or until the white chocolate-matcha has firmed up. Break up big clumps before serving. Top with more white chocolate chips and matcha powder, if desired.
