Give your dad a chance to show off his grilling skills by helping him prepare this meal for one awesome family barbecue!

 

Honey Mustard BBQ Chicken

Makes 5-6 servings

 

Rub:

2 Tbsps Salt

2 Tbsps Black pepper

2 Tbsps Brown sugar

3 Tbsps Spanish paprika

1 Tbsp Garlic powder

1 Tbsp Onion powder

1 tsp Cayenne pepper

1 tsp Red pepper flakes

1 kilo Chicken choice cuts (legs, thighs, wings, and breast)

 

Honey Mustard Sauce:

2 Tbsps Olive oil

4 Garlic cloves, minced

1 Small onion, minced

2 Tbsps Honey

¼ cup Mustard

Chopped parsley, to garnish

Salt and pepper, to season

 

Procedure:

  1. In a bowl, combine all ingredients for the dry rub and mix well.
  2. Rinse chicken pieces and pat dry with paper towel. Sprinkle liberally with dry rub, making sure all pieces are well-coated. Leave to marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  3. Prepare charcoal grill and when ready, cook chicken over coals until cooked.
  4. Prepare the honey mustard dressing. In a non-stick pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté garlic and onions until soft and then add honey and mustard. Season with salt and black pepper. Turn off heat and then add chopped parsley. Set aside.
  5. Once the grilled chicken is cooked, brush pieces with the honey mustard dressing. Serve immediately.
