Sunday’s Best: Best Burger Patties Recipe

We’re totally backing up our claim that these are indeed the best burger patties. After all, this has the luscious combination of ground beef and pork. Fill it up with the right condiments, and you won’t be looking for anything else once you devour this burger.

 

Best Burger Patties
Makes 12 burgers

 

1 kilo Freshly grounded beef brisket (or ground round)

1 kilo Freshly ground pork

½ cup Finely chopped onions

 

SEASONING

5 tsps Iodized salt

1 ½ tsps Ground black peppers

2 Tbsps Worcestershire sauce

2 tsps Liquid smoke, hickory flavor* (optional but highly recommended)

 

*Liquid smoke is available in Landmark supermarket (near the bottled barbecue sauces)

 

  1. Combine the ground meats in a large mixing bowl. Add onions and mix well.
  2. Make the seasoning: Combine salt and pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle half of the seasonings over the meat and mix well. Sprinkle the rest of the seasonings and add the Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke. Mix until meat is well-combined.
  3. Measure ½ cup of meat and pack it into a compact ball. Form a patty by flattening the meat and keeping the sides even (press with your thumb all around). Continue to form burger patties until all of the meat is consumed.
  4. Store in the refrigerator in between baking paper or plastic wrap until ready to cook, or store in the freezer. Cook on a hot grill pan or fry in a little oil. Flip to cook the other side, according to the degree of doneness desired.
