Smooth Sailing: Rocky Road Mousse

We all love rocky road-flavored ice creams but how about mousse? Upgrade your chocolate mousse by adding different textures to them to create this delectable dessert.

Makes 2 servings


¾ cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 cups Chilled whipping cream

1 Tbsp Powdered sugar

½ cup Toasted cashew nuts, coarsely chopped

½ cup Mini marshmallows (or regular marshmallows sliced into quarters)


  1. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave. Let cool and set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the whipping cream with powdered sugar until stiff.
  3. Fold the cream into the melted chocolate and mix until well-combined. Add cashew nuts and marshmallows.
  4. Transfer mousse to a decorative bowl or in individual glasses. Chill for 3-4 hours until firm. Garnish with more chocolate chips, nuts, and marshmallows.
