Salmon says you have to cook this amazing dish!

Don’t you just love salmon? Whether you just enjoy it as a sashimi, an addition to soups, pan-fried or steamed, this versatile fish is in demand for its distinct taste and creamy texture. One of the most popular ways to enjoy salmon is to bake it like this comforting recipe, which calls for a thick, savory mayo gravy and the addition of hard-boiled eggs. We promise, this savory dish can easily make your dinner guests go wow!



Makes 8-10 servings


800g–1 kilo Salmon fillet, skinned and deboned

½ Lemon

Salt and ground white pepper

3/4 cup Mayonnaise

2 Tbsps Oyster sauce

1 Tbsp garlic, minced

2 Hard-boiled eggs, chopped

1 Tbsp Capers

  1. Rinse salmon with water and pat dry with paper towels. Lay salmon fillet on a tray or chopping board.
  2. Squeeze lemon juice on both sides of the fillet. Season salmon (top part only) with salt and ground white pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, oyster sauce, and minced garlic. Mix well.
  4. Spread 1-2 tablespoons of the mayonnaise mixture onto the bottom part of a baking dish. Transfer salmon fillets to the baking dish and top with more of the mixture, covering completely. Let sit for about ten minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375° Bake salmon for 15-20 minutes or until the mayonnaise sauce begins to turn golden brown.
  6. To serve, surround salmon with chopped hard-boiled eggs. Top with capers.
