Prosciutto and cream cooked in pasta? What’s not to love!

We recommend cooking this super creamy and dreamy pasta when you think that you deserve to be rewarded with decadent dish. Made with only a few ingredients, the Prosciutto Cream Pasta still packs so much rich flavor that eating it can feel a bit guilty! Added with a few slivers of prosciutto you’ll savor the indulgence with every forkful.

 

Prosciutto Cream Pasta

Makes 3-4 servings

 

1 Tbsp Olive oil

5 strips bacon, chopped

½ white onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup All-purpose cream

1/2 cup Chicken broth

1 ½ cup white mushrooms, sliced

Salt and ground white pepper, to season

300 grams Fettuccine, cooked al dente

100 grams Prosciutto slivers

  1. In a sauté pan over medium heat cook bacon but don’t let it crisp. When done set aside bacon and remove excess bacon drippings leaving just a tablespoon of bacon fat.
  2. Add olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until fragrant. Add mushrooms and season with salt and ground white pepper. Sauté for a minute.
  3. Add cream and chicken broth and let it simmer for three minutes. When sauce has thickened, add fettuccine and bacon. Toss gently. If you prefer a thinner sauce add some pasta water into it.
  4. Plate pasta and top with slivers of prosciutto. Serve immediately.
