Go loco for Ilocos with this lutong bahay favorite. This pinakbet recipe will send you straight to the north.
  • 250g pork shoulder, cubed
  • 1 ampalaya, chopped
  • ½ kalabasa, chopped into cubes
  • 2 eggplants, chopped
  • 4-5 okra, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, cut in wedges
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp bagoong
  • 1 cup pork broth
  1. Sauté garlic, onion, and tomatoes
  2. Add pork and cook for a minute
  3. On low heat, add ampalaya, okra, and eggplant
  4. Add broth and bagoong
  5. Boil, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes
  6. Season with pepper
