A Mediterranean Favorite: Hummus Dip

Maximum flavors at the most minimal effort and calories!


1 1/4 cups Canned garbanzos, drained
1 clove Garlic, minced
1 Tbsp Tahini
1 tsp Lemon juice
4 Tbsps Extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp Salt

*Dash of paprika

  1. Place garbanzos, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, 1-2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil and salt in food processor and purée until the mixture is smooth. Add a few tablespoons of warm water if texture looks a bit dry and grainy. Season the hummus with more salt, if needed.
  2. To serve, place in a platter, drizzle with the rest of the extra virgin olive oil and add a dash of paprika. Serve with toasted pita bread.
