Mealtime Magic: Balsamic Glazed Chicken

Tender and juicy chicken glaze with sweet and tangy balsamic sauce is the perfect one pan meal!


Balsamic Glazed Chicken

2 Chicken Thighs, skin on

*salt and freshly ground black pepper

2 Tbsps olive oil

1/2 Red onion, sliced or chopped

1 clove Garlic, peeled

1 sprig Fresh thyme

1/3 cup Balsamic vinegar

  1. Season chicken on both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Drizzle some olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat and brown chicken. Start with the skin side down. Turn the chicken over when the skin has caramelized. Cook the other side. When all sides of the chicken are brown, transfer to a plate
  3. To the same pan, add onions and cook gently until caramelized. Add garlic (kept whole or sliced) and fresh thyme.
  4. Deglaze cooking pot with balsamic vinegar, scraping off all the brown bits at the bottom.
  5. Return chicken to the pot, and allow vinegar to reduce, about 20-25 minutes.
