green tea chocolate wafer bar

Trust our word when we say that matcha is more than just a hype. It’s a revolution, bringing a new flavor to the ordinary foods that you were probably starting to get tired of. Take this old-school snack as an example, now covered with green tea to give it a twist!

Green Tea Chocolate Wafer Bars

220g White chocolate bar

1 ½ Tbsps Unsalted butter

1 Tbsp All-purpose cream (optional)

2-3 Tbsps Green tea powder

  • Vanilla wafer bars

  1. Line tray with wax paper. Cut wafers widthwise into rectangular strips. Set aside.
  2. Chop chocolate into uniform size bars. Place chocolate and butter into a stainless steel mixing bowl or a heatproof bowl.
  3. Place bowl over a saucepan filled with boiling water, making sure the water does not touch the bowl. Bring water in the pot to a simmer.Melt chocolate, stirring continuously.
  4. Once the chocolate has melted, whisk in green tea powder. If the mixture is too thick, thin it out with up to a tablespoon of cream.
  5. Drop wafer into the chocolate mixture, using a spoon to coat it evenly. Remove from mixture with a fork. Repeat for all wafers.
  6. Place wafers on wax paper. The bars are ready to eat once the chocolate has set.
