Gotcha Sriracha: Sriracha Tuna Avocado Toast Recipe

Sriracha is believed to have come from Thailand. Considered as one of the best hot sauces in the world, it can pretty much go well on everything, including this tuna avocado toast. Spice it up and prepare your usual toast into this healthy and avocado-packed treat!



Makes 4 servings


2 (184g) cans Tuna flakes in brine, drained

⅓ cup Reduced fat mayonnaise

1 Tbsp Sesame oil

1 Tbsp Sriracha hot sauce

¾ tsp Salt

⅛ tsp Ground black pepper

2 Ripe avocados, cut in half lengthwise and pitted

2 Tbsps Lemon juice

4 slices Toasted whole grain bread

½ cup Chopped spring onions


  1. In a bowl, combine tuna flakes, mayonnaise, sesame oil, sriracha, ¼ teaspoon salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, scoop out the avocado flesh with a spoon and place in a bowl. Mash the avocado with lemon juice and the remaining ½ teaspoon salt.
  3. Spread the mashed avocado on the slices of toasted bread. Top with ¼ cup of the tuna mixture and sprinkle with spring onions. Serve immediately.
