Honey Herb Goat Cheese Crostinis

Can’t think of an appetizer that will wow the crowd? Don’t worry, this recipe has got you covered! It may look a little fancy but it’s actually easy to whip up!

Makes about 12 crostinis

2/3 loaf Sourdough rye bread, cut into ½ – inch thick slices then cut in half

1 clove Garlic, peeled and halved

Extra virgin olive oil

Salt, to season

1 log Fresh goat cheese, chilled

2-3 Tbsps Honey

½ tsp Dried Italian herbs

Freshly cracked pink peppercorns, to season

Freshly cracked black peppercorns, to season

1 bunch Fresh thyme leaves

  1. Preheat the oven or a toaster oven to 390°
  2. Rub the pieces of bread with the garlic clove. Brush lightly with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with salt. Grill bread in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until toasted and golden. Set aside.
  3. Slice the chilled goat cheese into twelve rounds using a wire cutter or a hot knife. Place the goat cheese on top of the garlic toast and drizzle with olive oil and honey.
  4. Finish with dried Italian herbs, cracked pink peppercorns, freshly cracked black pepper, and fresh thyme.
