Make your morning fun by adding a citrus twist to your cup of joe.

Makes 2 servings

 

30g Dark or milk chocolate bar

Orange peel

½ cup Double strength coffee

 

Whipped cream

 

  1. Place chocolate bar and orange peel at the bottom of the coffee cup.
  2. Meanwhile, brew coffee. Pour coffee over chocolate.
  3. Stir to melt chocolate. Put whipped cream and garnish with more orange peel.

 

COLD BREW COFFEE WITH LEMON SYRUP

Makes 1 serving

 

1 cup Cold brew coffee*

1 oz Lemon simple syrup**

Ice

Thin lemon slices

 

Mix cold brew coffee with simple syrup and pour over ice. Garnish with a lemon slice. Serve in a tall glass.

 

*Cold brew

80g Ethiopian coffee, medium grind (you may also use local coffee)

4 cups Cold water

 

Mix coffee and water and let steep between 8-12 hours in the refrigerator. Strain and use. Keep mixture in refrigerator for a week.

 

**Lemon Simple Syrup

1 ⅛ cups Brown sugar

Lemon peel strips of half a lemon

1 ¼ cups Water

1 tsp Lemon juice

 

Mix brown sugar, lemon peel, and water. Simmer until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and add lemon juice. Strain and use to flavor tea or coffee.
