Come Together: Chicken Egg Salad Recipe

Which came first: the chicken or the egg? For now, you’ll never have to ask! Sharing the front stage in this salad, the chicken and the egg come together in this world-famous dish!


Chicken Egg Salad
Makes 6-8 servings


¼ cup Olive oil

½ cup Mayonnaise

2 Tbsps Dijon mustard or brown mustard

2 Tbsps Pickle relish

1 Tbsp Lemon juice

2 Chicken breasts, boiled and cubed

9 Hardboiled eggs, coarsely chopped

9 slices Bacon, chopped and cooked to a crisp

  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, pickle relish, and lemon juice. Mix until well incorporated. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
  2. In another bowl, mix the cubed cooked chicken, chopped eggs, and bacon bits. Fold the mayo dressing until well incorporated. Add parsley and season with salt and pepper. Cover bowl with plastic cling wrap and chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
