Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting

Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting


2 ¼ tsps Instant yeast

1 cup Warm milk

½ cup Sugar

⅓ cup Softened butter

1 tsp Salt

2 Eggs

4 cups All-purpose flour


⅓ cup Softened butter

1 cup Brown sugar

3 Tbsps Ground cinnamon

Cream Cheese Frosting:

⅓ cup Softened butter

1 ½ cups Confectioners’ sugar

¼ cup Cream cheese

½ tsp Vanilla extract

⅛ tsp Salt

  1. In a bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, butter, salt, and eggs. Pour the milk-yeast mixture into the bowl and mix well using the dough hook attachment of a mixer.
  2. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with cling wrap and let rise in a warm place for about an hour or until the dough has doubled in size.
  3. Transfer the risen dough to a lightly floured surface. Using a floured pin, roll out the dough to a rectangle about 16×12 inches in size and ¼ inch thick.
  4. To make the filling, spread the softened butter evenly all over the dough with a rubber spatula.
  5. Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.  Sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mixture generously all over the buttered dough.
  6. Beginning with the long side of the dough closest to you, roll the dough up tightly until it forms a log.  Pinch the edges to seal.  Use a sharp knife to cut the log into 1 ½-inch slices.
  7. Place the rolls (cut side facing up) on a greased 13 x 8 rectangular baking pan. Cover with a damp towel and let them rise again in a warm place for 30 minutes or until they double in size.
  8. Bake the rolls in a preheated 350F oven for 20 minutes or until they are light golden brown in color.
  9. Make the frosting by mixing all the ingredients and beating well with an electric mixer until fluffy. Spread the Cream Cheese Frosting generously on top of the rolls.
