Cerealicious Chocolate: Cornflakes Infused Hot White Chocolate

Who says cereal should only be consumed in a bowl of milk? Amp up your breakfast with this recipe! We used cereal-infused milk to upgrade your usual hot chocolate drink!


Cornflakes Infused Hot White Chocolate

Makes 2-3 servings


1 ½ cups Cornflakes

2 cups Milk

1 Tbsp Brown sugar

  • Pinch of salt

½ tsp Vanilla extract

¾ cup White chocolate chips

  • Cocoa powder, for dusting


  1. Spread the cornflakes on a lined sheet pan. Lightly toast in a preheated 300°F oven for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool completely.
  2. Transfer the cooled cornflakes into a pitcher and pour milk. Stir and let steep for 30 minutes.
  3. Strain the milk mixture and discard the cereal. To the milk, whisk in the sugar and salt until dissolved.
  4. In a saucepan over low-medium heat, stir together the infused milk, vanilla extract, and white chocolate chips until the chocolate has dissolved.
  5. Remove from heat and transfer hot mixture to mugs. Dust the top of with cocoa powder, if desired. Serve hot.
